Bermuda Stars is a nonprofit prep program that offers online tutoring and mentorship to high-achieving Bermudian students in public schools who seek enrichment to enhance their current curriculum. Through Patterson Tutoring’s online platform, students have access to talented educators in both the US and UK who will help them reach their potential on a variety of standardized admission tests as well as guide them through the scholarship application process. Leadership initiatives and the development of interpersonal skills are two key areas of focus as students learn what it takes to work effectively in a community, interview well, and be successful on the path forward. In addition to developing soft skills, the Bermuda Stars program heavily focuses on STEM, academic writing, and learning proper study techniques to ensure that students are adequately equipped when leaving the island to enter an academically-rigorous learning environment.
This program takes place on Saturday and Sunday mornings between 9 am and 11 am Atlantic Standard Time. During the school year, students are required to attend at least one, if not both, of the weekend morning sessions to remain in good standing.
